Delete your account.
You can delete your Cafe-Bar account — on the website or the Android app, they're the same account — and the data tied to it at any time.
Guests: leave a bar right away
On the bar's order page, tap Leave this bar at the bottom. That deletes your membership at that bar immediately. To also delete the orders and drink requests you placed there, send a request (below).
Everyone: request full deletion
- Email jlintonjr@gmail.com with the subject Delete my Cafe-Bar account.
- Tell us which account: the bar's name or link, and the name you order under, the email you signed up with (hosts), or the GitHub / Microsoft username you sign in with.
- We may reply once to confirm the request is really yours, then delete the account and confirm by email.
What gets deleted
- Guests: your memberships, the name you order under, your orders and drink requests, and any push-notification subscriptions.
- Hosts: your account and its email address, and every bar you own — its menu, orders, members, pantry, events, and settings.
- Signed-in accounts (GitHub / Microsoft): your account record (provider, display name, email) and its links to the bars you own or have joined.
What we keep, and for how long
Nothing. Deletion is completed within 30 days of your request. Copies in the hosting provider's automatic database backups expire on their own shortly after; we never restore deleted accounts from them.
Sign-in records held by Azure
If you signed in with GitHub or Microsoft, Microsoft Azure (which runs the sign-in) keeps its own record of that. Remove it at GitHub sign-in purge or Microsoft sign-in purge.
Data on your device
Log out and Leave this bar clear what this device remembers for that bar. Uninstalling the app, or clearing this site's data in your browser, removes everything stored on the device.
